No need to wander through the mists of time. That’s because the Central Gulf Coast Lodge, #2708, is younger in comparison to the more than 650 current chapters of the national Order Sons & Daughters of Italy in America (OSDIA). Established in 1996, our Lodge is located in Tarpon Springs/Palm Harbor in Florida.
We take pride in our philanthropy, giving to several national organizations and offering various scholarships.
We never forget that our goal is to have fun while we preserve Italian culture in the United States and identify solutions to the problems and issues facing Italian Americans today.
The Sons of Italy was founded in New York City on June 22, 1905 by Vincenzo Sellaro, M.D., establishing an organization focused on assisting and supporting Italian immigrants in their journeys with becoming U.S. citizens. In 1953, the Grand Lodge of Florida was established. Based in Leesburg, Florida, it is part of the OSIA National Headquarters, located in Washington, D.C.
